Water-Soluble Fertilizer for Greenhouse Vegetables
In a greenhouse, nothing leaves. Water that drains is recaptured, nutrients that do not dissolve settle in lines, and salts that accumulate stay in the root zone until someone flushes them out. That makes protected culture the most demanding place to use a water soluble fertilizer for greenhouse vegetables, and it is why the figures that matter here are solubility, pH and what the product leaves behind.
We supply macro-element water-soluble fertilizer produced to NY/T 1107-2020 in two confirmed grades: 19-19-19 + 2MgO + TE at 57% minimum total nutrients and 20-20-20 + 2MgO + TE at 60% minimum, both with water-insoluble matter at 1% maximum, moisture at 3.0% maximum, biuret at 0.9% maximum and a working pH of 3.0 to 9.0 at 250-times dilution. Anhydrous magnesium sulfate at 98% minimum MgSO4, with chloride at 0.2% maximum, is available where the programme needs a magnesium input without extra chloride.
This page is written for protected-culture managers and for the distributors who supply them. It covers the grades and the figures behind them, and it publishes no rate, no timing and no yield figure — those depend on the house, the water and the programme, and they belong with your agronomist.
The problem
What this page is here to solve
Salt accumulation in a closed system
A protected house does not have rainfall to leach the root zone, so whatever enters through fertigation stays unless it is deliberately flushed. Inputs that carry an unstated salt load make that harder to manage, which is why we state the chloride figure wherever it is relevant to a grade.
Dosing systems that need predictable dissolution
A house runs on a stock solution and a dosing pump, and both assume the product goes into solution completely and consistently. A stated water-insoluble figure and a stated working pH range are what make that assumption checkable rather than hopeful.
Programmes that change with the crop
A greenhouse moves through crops and stages, and the analysis the programme wants moves with it. Two confirmed water-soluble grades in the same handling mean the programme can change without the packing, the stock-tank routine or the dosing set-up changing with it.
Trace elements the programme cannot see
A protected programme needs to know what is in the trace-element package, because the same elements may already be arriving from the water or the growing medium. We declare magnesium as MgO and state the package, so the contribution can be balanced rather than assumed.
Recommended configuration
Confirmed grades behind a greenhouse programme
The table shows the confirmed lines this page is built on. Anything outside it — a different grade, a different packing — we will tell you about before you plan around it.
| Product | Confirmed grade & figures | Where it fits |
|---|---|---|
| Macro-element water-soluble fertilizer | 19-19-19 + 2MgO + TE · total nutrients ≥ 57% · water-insoluble matter ≤ 1% · pH 3.0–9.0 at 250× dilution · NY/T 1107-2020 | Balanced grade for continuous fertigation through a stock tank |
| Macro-element water-soluble fertilizer | 20-20-20 + 2MgO + TE · total nutrients ≥ 60% | Higher-nutrient grade in the same dosing routine |
| Anhydrous magnesium sulfate | MgSO4 ≥ 98% · chloride ≤ 0.2% · water-insoluble matter ≤ 0.10% | Magnesium input without an unstated chloride load |
| Packing | 25 kg or 50 kg PP woven bags with PE liner · 1000 kg FIBC with PE liner | Bags for smaller houses; jumbo bags for central mixing and multi-house sites |
Specifications shown are indicative; the controlling values are those in the technical data sheet (TDS) and the batch certificate of analysis issued for your order.
Why work with us
Written into the quotation, not into an advert
Protected culture is bought on figures, not on adjectives. These are the ones we put in writing.
- Water-insoluble matter, moisture, biuret and working pH stated with every water-soluble grade
- Two confirmed grades in the same handling, so a crop change does not change the dosing routine
- Magnesium declared as MgO with the trace-element package stated rather than implied
- Technical data sheet available before the first order, so figures can be checked against the house
- Packing chosen for the mixing point: bags for small houses, jumbo bags for central mixing
- We say what we cannot answer: compatibility for your specific stock mix is for you and your agronomist
FAQ
Questions buyers ask about this
- Which grades suit greenhouse vegetables?
- Macro-element water-soluble fertilizer at 19-19-19 + 2MgO + TE with total nutrients at 57% minimum, and 20-20-20 + 2MgO + TE at 60% minimum, both to NY/T 1107-2020 with water-insoluble matter at 1% maximum and a working pH of 3.0 to 9.0 at 250-times dilution.
- Do you publish rates or dosing schedules?
- No. Dosing depends on the house, the growing medium, the water and the crop stage, and it is set by your agronomist. We state composition, solubility and pH so the programme can be built on figures.
- Can these be mixed in a stock tank with other inputs?
- That depends on the specific products, the water and the order of mixing, and it is not something we can confirm at a distance. The working pH range is the first thing to check, and the compatibility test is work for you and your agronomist.
- Is there a magnesium option without extra chloride?
- Yes — anhydrous magnesium sulfate at 98% minimum MgSO4, with chloride at 0.2% maximum and water-insoluble matter at 0.10% maximum, is the usual route where a magnesium input is wanted without an unstated chloride load.
- What packing suits a multi-house site?
- 25 kg or 50 kg PP woven bags with a PE liner suit smaller houses and manual mixing; 1000 kg jumbo bags with a PE liner suit central mixing stations and multi-house sites. The loading plan states the quantity for each configuration.
