Fertilizer Programme for Coffee Estates
Coffee is bought at two very different scales, and a supplier who understands the trade packs for both. An estate places a scheduled order for a season; a distributor serving smallholders places a steady order it can split across a customer base. An NPK fertilizer for coffee has to be specified for the first case and packed for the second, and both buyers care about the same thing: a grade whose figures do not drift between shipments.
We supply the confirmed lines a coffee programme is built from: high-tower compound fertilizer at NPK 25-12-8 with magnesium and zinc, total nutrients at 45% minimum, produced to GB/T 15063-2020 and open to other ratios against the buyer's specification; macro-element water-soluble fertilizer at 19-19-19 + 2MgO + TE and 20-20-20 + 2MgO + TE to NY/T 1107-2020; and anhydrous magnesium sulfate at 98% minimum MgSO4 for magnesium and sulfur.
This page is written for estate procurement teams and for regional distributors. It covers the grades, the packing choices, the documents and the questions to settle before ordering, and it leaves application rates and timing to your agronomists — where they belong.
The problem
What this page is here to solve
Two buyers, one grade list
An estate wants tonnage on a schedule; a distributor wants a grade it can hold and split. The same confirmed lines serve both if the packing is chosen deliberately: bags for a distributor's stock, jumbo bags for an estate's central store, and a loading plan that states the quantity for each.
Grades that drift between shipments
Coffee programmes repeat season after season, and each repeat multiplies a small specification difference. The controlling record for us is the batch certificate of analysis issued with each shipment, with the technical data sheet stating the figures a buyer can hold us to.
A magnesium input with unstated baggage
Where a programme needs magnesium, the accompanying ion matters. Our anhydrous magnesium sulfate states MgSO4 at 98% minimum with chloride at 0.2% maximum and water-insoluble matter at 0.10% maximum, so the magnesium decision is made on data rather than on a trade name.
Programmes that change without changing the system
Two water-soluble grades in the same handling, plus compound ratios open to specification, mean a programme can move between analyses while the packing, the documents and the application method stay the same — which is what a season-long schedule needs.
Recommended configuration
Confirmed grades behind a coffee programme
The table lists the confirmed lines this page is built on; anything outside it we will tell you about before you plan around it.
| Product | Confirmed grade & standard | Where it fits |
|---|---|---|
| High-tower compound fertilizer | NPK 25-12-8 + 2MgO + 0.2Zn · total nutrients ≥ 45% · granule 1.5–4.5 mm · GB/T 15063-2020 | Granular application by mechanical spreading; other ratios to buyer specification |
| Macro-element water-soluble fertilizer | 19-19-19 + 2MgO + TE · total nutrients ≥ 57% · NY/T 1107-2020 | Where the estate fertigates or mixes its own solution |
| Macro-element water-soluble fertilizer | 20-20-20 + 2MgO + TE · total nutrients ≥ 60% | Higher-nutrient alternative in the same systems |
| Anhydrous magnesium sulfate | MgSO4 ≥ 98% · chloride ≤ 0.2% · water-insoluble matter ≤ 0.10% | Magnesium and sulfur input for blends and fertigation |
| Packing | 25 kg or 50 kg PP woven bags with PE liner · 1000 kg FIBC with PE liner | Bags for distributor stock; FIBC for estate stores and mechanised spreading |
Specifications shown are indicative; the controlling values are those in the technical data sheet (TDS) and the batch certificate of analysis issued for your order.
Why work with us
Written into the quotation, not into an advert
Each point below is something the quotation can be checked against, not a claim in an advertisement.
- Quotations built from your specification — ratio, packing, quantity and destination port on one page
- Technical data sheet and safety data sheet issued before you commit
- Batch certificate of analysis with every shipment, as the controlling record
- Compound ratios beyond 25-12-8 available to buyer specification, with the minimum run stated at quotation
- Packing chosen for the buyer type: bags for distributors, jumbo bags for estates
- We state what we cannot answer, and leave the agronomic decision to your own adviser
FAQ
Questions buyers ask about this
- Which NPK grades do you supply for coffee?
- High-tower compound fertilizer at NPK 25-12-8 + 2MgO + 0.2Zn to GB/T 15063-2020, with other ratios to buyer specification; macro-element water-soluble fertilizer at 19-19-19 and 20-20-20 + 2MgO + TE to NY/T 1107-2020; and anhydrous magnesium sulfate at 98% minimum MgSO4.
- Can you supply both an estate and a distributor?
- Yes. The grades are the same; the packing differs. Distributors usually take 25 kg or 50 kg bags with a PE liner to hold and split, while estates usually take 1000 kg jumbo bags for central stores. The loading plan states the quantity for each configuration.
- Do you publish application rates or timing?
- No. Rates and timing depend on soil, altitude, variety, age of the trees and the rest of the programme, and they are for your agronomist or extension service to set. We state composition, packing and the standard each grade is produced to.
- Is the compound ratio fixed at 25-12-8?
- No. High-tower compound fertilizer can be formulated to the buyer's ratio within our confirmed capability, subject to a minimum order for a custom run. Send the ratio you want and we will confirm what we can produce and on what lead time.
- What documents arrive with the container?
- Commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, batch certificate of analysis, technical data sheet and safety data sheet, issued as one set. Import registration and customs clearance are handled by the importer or its local agent, supported by the technical file we provide.
